Bulky, soft material is fed into a wide, sound-insulated straight feed chute and processed as shreddings that are ideal for composting. Woody material, such as branches with twigs, is fed through the separate feed chute which folds out neatly from the rear. The sloping chute is set at a comfortable height and angled to make branch input easy, and the cutter blade system is self-feeding with a low kickback tendency to ensure safe and high throughput of waste.
The cutting system is a rotary blade design with a set of sharp wing, shredding and combination blades that ensure consistent results, and chipped and shredded waste is ejected clean and clear via the wide ejection chute.
For user safety, the GB 460 is well-balanced and stable, and its innovative One Click/One Turn safety switch means the engine stops directly the chute’s closure screw is turned. That means the chute can be removed easily and securely for cleaning or storage with no fear of accidental engine re-start.
