VIKING battery powered 3 series lawn mower achieves the "Blue Angel" environmental accreditation

Blue Angel award for the battery powered MA 339 mower

The VIKING 3 Series battery-powered MA 339 lawn mower has recently been awarded the renowned "Blue Angel" environmental label, the first worldwide environmental accreditation.

The coveted "Blue Angel" label is awarded by a committee comprising of, amongst other institutions, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, as well as the German Institute for Quality Assurance and Certification, RAL.

The MA 339 lawn mower, which was introduced with great success in 2011, convinced the testing commission specifically with regard to the points "Reduction of noise emissions" and "Prevention of pollutants". This was principally achieved thanks to a newly-developed, specially optimised mowing blade, our low-pollutant lithium-ion batteries and the absence of components made from PVC or containing plasticisers.

For gardening power tool manufacturer VIKING, attaining the well-respected environmental label is confirmation of our investment in innovative and sustainable solutions as well as proof of our commitment to the environment.
